Scrape the Spread LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a subscription-based sports-data monitoring and alert service through scrapethespread.com and related account features, customer support, and communications (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and your choices. The Service is intended for users in the United States and is available through a website, including when saved to a mobile device’s home screen.
This Policy does not waive or limit rights provided by applicable law or replace any separate consent required by law.
Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Service.
The Service provides sports-data monitoring and informational alerts. It does not accept, place, transmit, or settle wagers, maintain sportsbook balances, or provide sportsbook account services.
Account information. When you create an account, you provide your first and last name and email address, create and confirm a password, and select a subscription plan. We maintain information about your account and subscription status. You may choose a time zone for your account in Account Settings; Eastern Time applies by default unless you change it. When you accept our Terms of Service, we keep a record of the date and the version you accepted. We also record the date of your most recent account activity.
Alert settings and history. We process the sports, games, bookmakers, rules, thresholds, saved configurations, and notification preferences you select to generate and deliver requested alerts and provide available alert history.
Browser notifications. If you enable push notifications, we process a browser-issued push subscription associated with your device, along with your browser and device type, to deliver the alerts you request.
Payments. Stripe, a third party payment processor unaffiliated with us, processes subscription payments through an interface hosted on Stripe’s site. When you enter payment information there, you provide it to Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers. Stripe’s own privacy information explains its processing of information you provide directly to it. If you choose to tell us why you canceled your subscription, that feedback is processed through Stripe and reviewed by us.
Support communications. We receive the information you provide when contacting us, including account questions, complaints, account-closure requests, and related correspondence.
Website and security information. We process standard server, security, and error logs and information associated with authentication and browser push subscriptions. Section 8 describes the browser technologies used to support the Service.
Please do not send sportsbook passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identification documents, health information, or other highly sensitive information to us, whether you send it through ordinary support email or otherwise.
We use personal information to provide the Service, manage accounts and subscriptions, apply your alert settings, generate and deliver alerts, maintain available alert history, respond to support requests, and send account, security, billing, cancellation, and requested service communications. We may also use information as necessary to protect the Service, address fraud or abuse, comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
We do not use or disclose a user’s alert behavior, actual or inferred betting intensity, late-night activity, repeated losses, inactivity, self-exclusion status, responsible-gambling or account-closure communications, inferred vulnerability, or suspected problem-gambling risk to target that user with sportsbook promotions, encourage wagering, or increase wagering activity. These restrictions do not mean that we collect or monitor each of those signals.
We do not use identifiable user information to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model or make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Communications choices. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. Doing so will not stop account, security, billing, renewal, cancellation, legal, or alert-related communications. You can turn off alert emails using the unsubscribe link in any alert email, and you can manage email and push alert settings in Account Settings and in each Scrape’s settings. Push notifications can also be turned off in your browser or device settings; push permission is set separately on each device. Notification content may appear on a lock screen depending on your device settings.
The Service does not currently include SMS messages. If we later offer SMS, we will provide a separate enrollment disclosure and obtain any consent required by applicable law.
We disclose personal information to service providers that help operate the Service, including payment processors, email and browser-push delivery providers, email-hosting providers, website and application hosting and data-storage providers, access and security providers, website analytics providers, and error-monitoring providers. These providers receive or access information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent for a separately disclosed purpose. Our sports-data providers do not receive your personal information. If a change in our service providers materially changes our personal-information practices, we will notify you as described in Section 10.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights, safety, security, or property, investigate fraud, or enforce our agreements.
Information may be disclosed to professional advisers and transaction counterparties in connection with a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where practicable.
Where available, alert messages contain courtesy links to bookmaker websites. We currently receive no compensation from third parties and no information back from bookmakers about our users. Independent third parties’ privacy practices govern information they collect directly when you use their services.
We do not disclose identifiable alert configurations, sportsbook preferences, notification history, actual or inferred betting behavior, or responsible-gambling communications to sportsbooks, affiliate networks, or data brokers for their own marketing or acquisition purposes.
We retain personal information as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, prevent fraud, satisfy legal obligations, maintain tax and accounting records, enforce our agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, subject to applicable law.
Canceling automatic renewal is different from requesting account deletion. Cancellation stops the next renewal; subscription access continues through the paid term, subject to suspension or termination for cause under the Terms. If you cancel without requesting account deletion, account information and configurations may be retained for reactivation and the purposes described above. Monitoring and alerts stop when the paid term ends unless you reactivate.
You may request account deletion through the delete option in Account Settings or by emailing support@scrapethespread.com. We handle deletion requests subject to applicable law and exceptions, including legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, and legal claims. Deletion does not necessarily remove information immediately from every retained record, including backups, which are deleted on a rolling basis. Retained personal information remains subject to this Policy and applicable law.
No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected compromise at support@scrapethespread.com. We will provide notice of a security incident where required by applicable law.
To review your account information or change your email address or password, sign in and open Account Settings. Select Change next to your email address or password and follow the prompts. If you forget your password, use the Forgot your password link on the login page. For help accessing your information or correcting information that you cannot edit yourself, email support@scrapethespread.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Depending on where you reside and whether applicable law covers our processing, you may have rights to confirm and access personal information, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling, limit qualifying uses of sensitive information, withdraw consent, and appeal a denied request. The availability and scope of these rights are subject to applicable law and its exceptions. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
To submit a privacy request or appeal, email support@scrapethespread.com. You do not need to create a new account solely to submit a request. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority for that request; this is separate from eligibility for the Service. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We use verification information only to process and document the request. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and provide reasons and available appeal instructions if we deny a request.
We do not set cookies of our own. Our hosting and security provider may set cookies needed for security. The Service uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember display preferences. Our web platform also loads website scripts, a web-app manifest, and a browser service worker that supports web-app features. When you enable push notifications, a browser-issued subscription supports delivery to your device. We use our hosting provider’s website analytics to measure aggregate site traffic, such as page views and visit counts. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data and control website permissions. Blocking or clearing site data or local storage may prevent you from signing in. Browser and device settings also let you disable push notifications. These controls are separate from canceling a subscription or requesting account deletion.
We do not use email open or click tracking. Email delivery records and other records needed to operate the Service may still be processed. You may manage email and browser push notifications through the controls described in Section 3.
The Service is intended only for individuals 21 years of age or older, as a contractual eligibility requirement under our Terms. We do not request age or date of birth at registration or routinely verify age, identity, location, or wagering behavior. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
A parent or guardian who believes an ineligible minor has provided personal information may contact support@scrapethespread.com. We will address information concerning children as required by applicable law and may restrict or terminate ineligible accounts as provided in the Terms.
We may update this Policy as our practices, technology, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Policy on our website and update the date at the top. For a material change, we will also provide a prominent notice on our website or send an email to the address associated with your account. That notice will describe the material change and state when it takes effect. We will provide the notice before the change takes effect where reasonably practicable or required by law.
We will not apply a materially broader use or disclosure to previously collected personal information solely through a silent or retroactive policy change. Where required, we will obtain consent before using previously collected information for a materially incompatible purpose.
For privacy questions, rights requests, appeals, account-deletion requests, security reports, or assistance accessing this Policy, contact support@scrapethespread.com.
